Like every modern day love story, Phillip & Jenny were looking for love. Searching for such a thing in the aftermath of a global pandemic and no social gatherings to attend, they downloaded a dating app. Bumble, to be specific. The idea of this app gives the woman the chance to message first if both interested partners swipe right. When Jenny first came across Phillip's profile, she was intrigued by his extensive bio, which had various references to TV shows (no references that Jenny could actually make a connection too, but she loved the effort to get somebodys attention, which he did!) So on first glance, Jenny admits she hesitated, but after coming across a goofy picture of Phil, bearded after his hike on the AT, she decided to swipe right, and lo & behold, Phil and Jenny MATCHED! At that point, Jenny had to make the first move, so her opening line was as honest as she could be, and her intrigue took over any smooth pick up line or catchy introduction, she point blank asked, " What in the world is a milk steak and are you going to make me try it?" This was in reference to Phil's TV reference ridden bio, and an ode to one his favorite shows, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. That kicked off a conversation that was easy and fun. Not even messaging for an hour, Phil got straight to the point and asked Jenny on a date. Jenny was impressed by his forward nature, & we love a guy who asks for what he wants! The only thing that held Phil & Jenny from meeting soon after they matched was that Phil was fighting a nasty illness. Thankful it wasn't covy wovy, but hesitant to risk geting sick, Jenny and Phil decided their date would have to wait until Phil was fever free. In the next two weeks, Jenny & Phil talked every day at length and through each conversation, both Jenny & Phil knew that this could be something special. The day finally came where Phil was mended and after his typical "Good Morning" text to Jenny he said, "Todays the day, we are going on our first date." We decided on a more causal night in, and Jenny offered to make chicken parmesan. Phil stopped to get a bottle of wine on the way. Phil admits he gave himself a pep talk on the way over to Jenny's house, and told himself "Just see how it goes, stay in the moment and enjoy the night as it goes". Jenny had equal first date jitters, and could feel herself shaking with excitement to finally meet the guy she had been talking too for a little over 2 weeks. The moment finally came where Phil arrived and knocked on Jennys door. Jenny had seen him walk down the driveway and instantly was at ease, seeing his confidence and his handsome demeanor. When Jenny opened the door, he greeted her with his classic "Hey, Hey!". It was the beginning of a wonderful night where Jenny and Phil enjoyed dinner and each others company, Phil didnt leave until almost 2am! Before he left, they had already made plans for the next night. Jenny & Phil both quickly realized that this was no regular bumble match. This right swipe would be their best one to date. Within two weeks of that first date, Phil asked Jenny to be his girlfriend. Jenny had no hesitations by making this thing serious, Phil was the most intentional, romantic guy she had ever dated and she was not going to let that go. About a month after that, Jenny and Phil kept looking for a word to describe how deeply they felt for each other. They danced around various embellishments of like and finally Jenny asked Phil, "What do you think it feels like to be in love?" It was in this conversation, Jenny & Phil came to the conclusion that it was LOVE after all! That's the word they were looking for! Jenny and Phillip were in love, and that love has grown every day since. From that first profile glance, to the time they met, their first kiss, first "I love You", to the time where Phillip got on one knee and asked, "Will You Marry Me?", Jenny and Phillip both agree...best right swipe EVER!
