Things To Do

Short North Arts District

Short North Arts District

Columbus, OH

This area has the most to-do in all of Columbus and where the wedding, reception, and hotel will be located. -Favorite Restaurant (and our first date): Forno - Oven baked pizzas with great drinks and centrally located. -North Market: Fun market style set-up restaurant and shopping. Similar to West Side Market in Cleveland. Hot Chicken Takeover is on the second floor and a solid spot for Chicken Sandwiches. Walking distance from the hotel. -Lunch: The Eagle (Southern), Local Cantina (Tacos), NorthStar Café, Hubbard Grille, Brassica, El Segundo -Dinner: 1126 (Sushi), Del-Mar (American), Marcella’s (Italian), The Guild House, The Pearl, Ampersand, Hyde Park -Coffee: Woodhouse, Roaming Goat Coffee, One Line -Rooftop Bars: Lincoln Social, Goodale Station, Mandrake Rooftop, Stories on High -Bars: Standard Hall, Pint House, Bristol Republic, Townhall, Oddfellows, BrewDog, Bodega, The Alibi, Bernard’s -Pizza: Mikey’s Late Night Slice (pizza by the slice), Paulie Gee’s

Grandview Heights

Grandview Heights

Grandview Heights, OH

This is our neighborhood! Tons of restaurants, bars, and shops (mostly) along Grandview Ave. 5-10 minute drive from Hilton downtown hotel. -Restaurants: High Bank distillery, The Avenue, Aab (our FAVORITE Indian food!), Third and Hollywood, Mezzo, Figlio (favorite Grandview date night spot) -Bars: Grandview cafe (our favorite local spot!), Round Two, Lawbird -Shops: Green digs (ALL of the plants), Penn and Beech candle co, State of devotion -Sweet treats: Lion Cub cookies, Jeni’s ice cream

German Village

German Village

Columbus, OH

About 5 minutes south of downtown, we recommend you drive since there is a ton of free street parking. Very fun and unique, old German (brick road) neighborhood to walk around and venture. We always go to Stauf’s for coffee and head next door to The Book Loft; 32 rooms of discounted books and each room is a different genre. Also in the morning we really recommend Fox in the Snow Café and walking through Schiller Park right around the corner. -FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Lindey’s – Katie’s favorite patio of all time. Very good food (get the fried calamari) and drinks but make sure you request the patio when making reservations! -Breakfast: Fox in the Snow Café, Stauf’s (Coffee) -Lunch: Thurman Café (Man vs. Food), Brown Bag Delicatessen -Dinner: Chapman’s Eat Market (reservations one month in advance), South Village Grille, Barcelona ($) -Bars: Antiques on High, High Beck, Daily Growler, The Old Mohawk, Plank’s Bier Garten, Club 185

Bridge Park

Bridge Park

6741 Longshore Street, Dublin, OH 43017

Bridge Park (20 minutes north west of downtown) - Plenty of restaurants and bar options with a pedestrian bridge connecting old downtown Dublin to the new bridge street district. -FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Kitchen Social – Traditional American food, probably our favorite restaurant in Columbus. We’d recommend getting a reservation, but you may be able to put your name in and get seated somewhat soon depending on time -North Market Bridge Park – 10-15 different Columbus based restaurants and stores (salsa, spices, etc.) with food ranging from lobster rolls to pizza. -Dinner: Tucci’s (Italian), Mezzo (Italian), J. Liu (Asian), Harvest Pizza, The Pearl (Steak), The Avenue (Steak) -Breweries/Bars: Urban Pint House, Pins Mechanical, Getaway Brewing, North High Brewing
