Hannah and Matt first met at a "mass gathering" the summer after their sophomore year of college at the Retreat. Whilst at the party, Matt engaged in conversation with bridesmaid Amanda McClay. They engaged in a lovely conversation about how to save the country and our environment. At some point during the conversation, Amanda felt the need to introduce Matt to her friend Hannah. At this stage in his life, Matt was foolish and immature. He didn't think too much of the encounter and went about his collegiate experience for a couple of years hearing about this mystical woman named Hannah through casual conversations with wedding guests Brad Stout and Tripp Adams. Fast forward to the senior year - in the Autumn of 2014. Matt happens to live in a palatial duplex on Shepherd Street above some of Hannah's close friends. They were able to reconnect at another mass gathering hosted by Matt of which the upstairs roommates and Hannah were in attendance. At this stage in his college career, Hannah and Matt enjoyed this meeting much more than their first encounter. In addition, Matt is far more wise and mature at this stage in his collegiate journey. He even mustered up the cajones to ask Hannah out on a date. For their first official date, the two enjoyed beverages and beer cheese pretzels at a local watering hole known as the Flying Saucer. It was a joyous occasion and the two mutually agreed to continue correspondence after the date. Numerous dates, parties, and conversations followed, culminating with a great Halloween Homecoming Concert featuring R&B superstar T-Pain. Matt took some inspiration from Mr. Pain and bought Hannah a Drank. After a few dranks he had mustered up the courage to ask Hannah a question that had long been on his mind. Would she like to be his girlfriend? Against her better judgment, Hannah replied with yes. Fast forward 6 years later, Matt would ask Hannah to be his wife, to which the reply was even more self-assuring - "Of Course."
