FAQs

Question

Is anything going on before the wedding?

Answer

Yes! After the rehearsal dinner, we would love for you to join us at the Beach Brewery for some fun and games. AND, on Saturday morning, Quaid has a tee ball game. If your up to starting the day out by rooting for a bunch of 5 year-olds, this will be the hottest place to be! We’ll bring light breakfast of some sort :-)

Question

Is the ceremony actually on the beach?

Answer

No it’s not. It will be held on a lawn that directly overlooks the ocean. Our reception space does have a private beach access if it suits your fancy!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Will it be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

It is an outdoor wedding.

Question

What time does it start?

Answer

Please be to Hammock Beach by 5:00pm to get your seat :-)

Question

Are the ceremony and reception on the same property?

Answer

Yes they are! Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all in the same general location.

Question

Will there be anything to do immediately following the ceremony but before the reception?

Answer

Yes! Immediately following the ceremony, the bar will open for cocktail hour and a selection of Hors d'Oeuvres will be served. We will also have a live Island band playing some great Caribbean music. Or feel free to take a walk on the beach or play a round of mini-golf offered just steps from the event lawn.

Question

Are you using a photo sharing app for your events?

Answer

Yes we are! We invite you to download the SamSaidYes app here (https://www.samsaidyes.com/app). With the event id c49ugd3, you can already access our event. We can't wait to see our wedding from your perspective!

Question

Where is Hammock Beach Resort?

Answer

The resort is located in Palm Coast, roughly 35 minutes north of Ormond Beach. Please be aware Palm Coast Parkway does have a toll over the bridge. However, if you take SR 100 up to A1A, there is no toll. Taking this rout will increase your drive time slightly. We will be on the Lodge Event lawn. Follow 16th Street all the way down until you see it!

Question

What kind of fish are in the centerpieces?

Answer

That’s right... we are having live fish in our centerpieces! They are Betta’s and they come from rice paddies and flood plains in Thailand and Vietnam. There is plenty of water for them in their bowls and they breath surface air, so they don’t need an aerator. Also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish... they don’t do well together so please don’t mix them! They are perfectly happy right where they are :-)

Question

What about parking?

Answer

There is free self parking. The event lawn is a short walk from the self parking lot. However, if you wish to valet, it is $10. You will follow 16th street all the way down until it dead ends into the Lodge.
