As the era of online dating grows, we are just another couple who owe our story to the net! In early November, 2013, I had just moved home from Pensacola, he had just moved back from Ohio, and we were in search of, well... each other! Shortly after the first email was sent, there was a first date - November 16, 2013 to be exact. As unconventional as it may have been, we met at a small, super low-key bar in Port Orange called Road Side Tavern, true to its hole-in-the-wall reputation! Yet, by stroke of genius on his part, there was karaoke that particular night. We had a beer, or two, and he sang to me on a stage in front of a crowd of people. Upon leaving, we swung by his house to grab his guitar and then spent a few hours on the beach while he played. Although he is into video games, basically allergic to the outdoors and eats nothing but chicken and I am into boating, fishing and sushi... opposites apparently attract and a second date was soon to follow! Then a third, and fourth... and two months later an unexpected little blessing was on his way! The rest is pretty much history. He was always there for her, and she him, and now after almost 5 years of ironing out kinks... we are sure there is nothing we can’t conquer together!
