In December of 2021, Nate and Wilmary did not know that the other even existed. Nate had lived in Edinburg for about a year and a half, and Wilmary had lived in the area for her whole life. Although it is rather uncommon for Christians to meet each other on dating apps, Nate and Wilmary both had reached their limits of loneliness, and had decided to take a chance on meeting people online. Neither one of them expected much from this, Wilmary was actually on the verge of giving up entirely and dubbing herself the "cool single aunt". December 9th was the day where everything changed, Nate saw Wilmary's profile pop up and he thought to himself "she's Puerto Rican, a chef, AND she's beautiful! Almost too good to be true!" So he liked her profile, matched with her, and told her exactly that. He charmed her into a date night at the Alamo cinemas where they saw Ghostbusters together, and almost every single night since then they have seen each other. The kicker is that they ended up being only seven minutes away from each other and they never even knew the other one was out there, waiting for them. Wilmary has been there for Nate for everything since then, she has been one of his biggest supporters of his aviation career, and Nate has been one of Wilmary's biggest supporters for her baking career. There is so much more to their story, but how do you summarize almost 4 years into one paragraph? Although the memories are vast, the journey has just begun, and we appreciate every one of you for wanting to be a part of this milestone in our lives.
