Maid of Honor
Shana falls into several categories: cousin, friend, travel buddy, favorite spades partner, and the list goes on and on! It was at Shana and Tyler's wedding where Ben and I first "officially" met <3
Best Man
It’s difficult to find the right words to describe a lifelong friendship that's been through so much, so I won’t try. We met on the first day of Kindergarten over 27 years ago, and the rest is history. The brother that was never anything else.
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I have known each other (read she's put up with me) since Kindergarten. We've survived everything from broken arms, to flute days, and even some domestic travel mishaps along the way. How she's managed to hang around this long I'll never know, but I'm so grateful to have her and her little family in my life!
Groomsman
After years of passing each other in the halls at school and playing against one another on the soccer field and basketball court with little more than a word or two between us, circumstances threw us into college together, and what was a casual acquaintance became a lasting bond. The brother that neither of us expected.
Bridesmaid
I feel like Tiffany and I were double trouble from the start. We met at our college orientation and spent the next four years bonding over country music, state fair foods, and agriculture. I introduced her to her hubby and she introduced me to the second best guy in my life (although Gibbs was almost first!) I couldn't imagine this day without her by my side!
Groomsman
We met on the first day of 8th grade, after he’d just transferred to the North Davidson school system, and remained good friends through high school, but much like with Cody, we ended up at college together, and after countless [probably unmentionable] experiences, a friendship turned into a brotherhood. The brother long before we knew it.
Bridesmaid
Erin and I first met in my last semester of undergrad when her and her husband interviewed me for a job as their project ceramicist. Little did I know that, soon after, the entire Darby clan would basically become my second family. She is the coolest, smartest, funniest, most supportive, and sometimes scariest (JK!) person I know and I can't wait to celebrate with her!
Groomsman
He and I met on the first day of middle school youth group (for me), at 13 and 12, respectively. We stayed friends through high school, and our college years, but as we became men, circumstances allowed us to be able to support one another through a difficult time or two, and the forge was struck. The brother we both needed.
Bridesmaid
Kayla and I became fast friends freshman year of high school when she moved in next door. Our next four years were spent having movie marathon sleepovers with popcorn and chocolate milk and attempting to get lost in our small town. Jeff Dunham shows, birthday movie dates, and country concerts are our bread and butter! I've talked about getting her in a bridesmaid dress for so long, I'm so excited that she'll be with me to celebrate!
Groomsman
We met when his girlfriend, now wife, who also happens to be Tyler’s sister, brought him to a card game night Tyler and Shana were hosting. Skeptical at first of the rather quiet guy off to the side (yes, really), I soon realized I actually rather liked him, he wasn’t quiet at all, and he became family. The brother that fell into my lap.
Bridesmaid
About the only way to describe the relationship Sharon and I have is that we're definitely Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb (and that's in the absolute best way!) We were teaching partners for four years and I could not have asked for a better person to share those experiences. She's fully accepted the fact that I'm obsessed with her kid, and I have wholeheartedly embraced her inability to leave PetSmart without another class pet. She's definitely going to be the one I'm going crazy with and I'm only sad she won't be able to talk me into some crazy costume come wedding day!
Ring Bearer
Zane's daughter, who called me Uncle Ben before we even met, and graciously allows me to help tuck her in at night.
Bridesmaid
Our mutual love of Casa's Mexican cuisine solidified the relationship between Chris and I early on. We both started teaching at Pinecrest in 2014 and quickly became friends (I probably didn't give her much choice as every planning period was spent in her art room!) Between her disdain for all things google and our Italian adventures I feel like I've made it quite clear she's never getting rid of me ;) I can't thank her enough for standing with me on this special day!
Flower Girl
This little kid is a firecracker! I've known Maddie since she was a 6 month old world traveler on our first Jordan excursion. From that first trip this kid has had me wrapped around her finger! I've watched more Bubble Guppies episodes than I think is healthy and ingested enough Darna pool water to last a lifetime. She's smart, hilarious, and sassy and is going to make this wedding one to remember!
Bridesmaid
Eve and I have been friends since our middle school days where there were too many band stories and way too many flutes! We found out in high school we were related and then it alllll seemed to make sense. We share a mutual love of crafting, (her) photography, and food. I can always count on her to make me laugh and I can't wait for her to make me laugh-cry on our wedding day <3
