FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by October 5th, 2021.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you're unable to make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP 'no' so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

Is the event outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be held in the Salem Stallway of the Grace Barn. Both doors of the stallway will be open during the ceremony. The Cocktail Hour prior to the Reception will be held both in the Salem Stallway and outside, in front of the Grace barn. The Reception will be held in Cate's Ballroom but guests will have the option to sit and enjoy their meal in the Stallway or outside. For a look at these areas, please see Legacy Stables' website for images.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be plenty of parking close by, at the venue. However, there will also be golf carts going back and forth for guests who may need assistance.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We don't care, as long as you're there! Seriously though- just be comfortable and remember, it's North Carolina- plan accordingly!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the ceremony, so that we can get everyone seated and get the party started on time!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We would love to have your kids there. We do understand given the current circumstances you need to make the best choice for your family. For any kids that do come to the wedding we will have a "kids table" with activities for them during the reception.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests are invited to attend the Cocktail Hour, located just outside the Salem Stallway.

Question

What is a station-style reception?

Answer

During the Cocktail Hour guests will be served passed hors d'oeuvres from servers who are circulating amongst the guests. A bar will be set up outside the Grace Barn for alcoholic and non-alcoholic selections. The format for the Reception is a cocktail-style party with guests mingling throughout the evening. We're focusing on delicious and creative food, drinks, and music/dancing rather than a traditional seated formal reception. There will be two bars, as well as an apple cider bar open for guests.

Question

Will there be a seating chart?

Answer

No. Guests are invited to sit where they like- seating and tables will be available in Cate's Ballroom (main area), the Salem Stallway, and outside the Grace Barn. There will be a chair available for every guest, should you prefer a seat instead of mingling.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have started a honeymoon fund! You can find it linked under the Registry tab!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the ceremony on social media?

Answer

Yes! We will have a photographer, but we know that everyone has a different perspective so we'd appreciate you tagging us!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Not specifically, however, check out our travel page for any more information!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes!
