The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

8525 Garland Road, Dallas, TX 75218

The Dallas Arboretum is one of my absolute favorite places to visit whenever we’re in town, and it’s where Chase proposed! It’s such a beautiful spot with something for everyone. April is especially magical because it's tulip and cherry blossom season, with vibrant blooms everywhere you look. There’s a lovely restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal while soaking in breathtaking views of the gardens and the Dallas skyline, or, if you prefer, you can bring your own picnic and find the perfect spot to enjoy the scenery. Whether you’re strolling through the stunning ponds and lush gardens or simply sitting back and soaking in the peaceful surroundings, it’s a perfect place to spend the day.

Fort Worth Stockyards

Fort Worth Stockyards

Fort Worth, TX 76164

If you're in the mood for some Texas history, you can't miss the Fort Worth Stockyards! This iconic area is home to a real cattle drive every day at 11:30 AM and 4 PM, and it's definitely worth seeing at least once – it’s a true Texas experience! While you're there, be sure to check out the famous Billy Bob's Texas, the world's largest honky-tonk, for live music and a great time. There’s also plenty of shopping to do, with unique western shops and souvenirs you won’t find anywhere else. It's the perfect place to soak in the culture and charm of Fort Worth!

If you're looking to experience the vibrant, artsy side of Dallas, Deep Ellum is the place to be! Known for its lively atmosphere, this historic neighborhood is packed with cool murals, unique bars, and some of the best spots for food and drinks in the city. Whether you're in the mood to explore local art, grab a bite to eat, or just soak in the lively vibe, Deep Ellum is worth checking out. The bride and groom have fond memories of this district – in fact, we saw one of our favorite concerts at the Southside Ballroom, and it was an unforgettable night!

Fort Worth Zoo

Fort Worth Zoo

1989 Colonial Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76110

For animal lovers, the Fort Worth Zoo is a must-see! The bride and groom are huge fans of zoos and try to visit one in every city they travel to, but the Fort Worth Zoo is by far our favorite! With so much to explore, you could easily spend the whole day there – it’s that good. From the amazing exhibits to the beautiful grounds, it’s an experience you won’t forget. Fun fact: The Fort Worth Zoo is home to one of the largest collections of endangered species in the country! If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out!

For a truly unforgettable dining experience, we highly recommend Texas de Brazil! This Brazilian steakhouse offers an all-you-can-eat feast of perfectly grilled meats, served tableside, along with a delicious salad bar and mouthwatering sides. It’s a meat lover’s paradise! Fun fact: the bride and groom have a hilarious memory from here. Ask the groom’s family how much the bride ate that night—they still laugh about it to this day (let’s just say, it was a LOT!). If you're looking for an indulgent, one-of-a-kind meal, this is the place to be!

If you’re looking to really treat yourself while in town, The Henry in downtown Dallas is the place to go! This is the couple's favorite restaurant, and you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu—but trust us, you have to try the brussel sprouts. They will seriously be the best you've ever had! Located in the heart of downtown, The Henry offers a true Dallas dining experience. The bride and groom first visited before a Dallas Stars game at the American Airlines Center, and ever since, they've been finding any excuse to return. If you're in the mood for a memorable meal, this spot will not disappoint!
