FAQs

If you have questions about anything pertaining to the wedding, reception, or other details, then please reference the FAQs below. If you or another cannot find a clear answer to a question of yours, then feel free to reach out to us! Thank you!
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 15th, 2026 so we can have an accurate headcount!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event so that all of our guests can fully relax and enjoy the evening. We will not have childcare at our wedding, so we ask that you make arrangements accordingly. We recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know that we would love to see them at our welcome gathering Friday night! We truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that our guests arrive in cocktail attire for our ceremony and reception. We included extra details and examples to help clarify the dresscode! For the women: Midi, ankle, or knee-length dresses are perfect, though a dressy jumpsuit or sophisticated separates are also welcome. Think elegant fabrics like silk, satin, chiffon, or crepe. Heels and flats are both great options, so wear whatever you'll be most comfortable in! For the men: A suit is recommended, but a tie is optional. A blazer with dress pants and a tie is another alternative if you prefer. As long as you have a collared shirt and dress shoes, you'll look great! What to avoid: Dresscodes can be confusing, so we hope it's helpful to know what not to wear too. For cocktail attire, try to steer clear of denim, sneakers, shorts, and overly formal attire like floor-length gowns or tuxedos. We can't wait to see everyone dressed up for the occasion!

Question

Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that our guests avoid wearing white, ivory, or light shades that photograph similarly. Gentlemen, while suits are encouraged, we invite you to have fun with color and avoid a traditional black suit and white shirt combination. We appreciate your help in keeping our attire distinct as we celebrate with you!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The chapel will be open to guests starting at 1:00pm. We ask that you arrive no later than 1:15pm. To ensure an uninterrupted ceremony, anyone arriving after the start of the ceremony will not be allowed in. The drive from the gatehouse to the chapel is an additional 10 minutes, so please plan accordingly. We want everyone present when we exchange vows!

Question

What do I do after the ceremony?

Answer

We have a narrow window at The Cliffs, so we ask that guests leave the ceremony site no later than 2:30pm to allow us time to clean up. The drive from the chapel to Downtown Greenville is approximately 50 minutes, so you will likely have some free time before our cocktail hour begins. We suggest using this free time to check on children or pets at home, explore Downtown Greenville, or simply take some time to recharge before the party begins! You are welcome to join us at The Upper Room for cocktail hour starting at 4:00pm, so spend your free time doing whatever you feel is best!

Question

Will there be a seating chart?

Answer

Our goal is to make sure our guests are comfortable moving around, dancing, and enjoying the night. That said, we will not be having a seating chart. Seating will be limited due to space constraints, and a few tables will be reserved for the wedding party and family. While we will have some additional seating, we encourage our guests to spend the night moving about and actively participating in the celebration with us!

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

We will definitely have food at our reception! We plan to have a cocktail-style reception. During our cocktail hour and the first part of our reception, we will have several passed hors d'oeuvres. Afterwards, we will have several food stations for you to pick what you want!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

We understand that many of our guests have dietary restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate any dietary needs. We plan to have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, but please let us know of any restrictions or allergies!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! Both our ceremony and reception venues are accessible for anyone with mobility limitations. Also, you are welcome to have someone drop you off near the entrance at both our ceremony and reception if that's easier for you. The stairs at The Upper Room are a bit steep, so feel free to use the elevator instead!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We would love for you to take photos during the reception, but we ask that you avoid taking photos during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our photographer will capture all the details, and we promise to share plenty of photos afterward!

Question

Will I get a chance to take professional photos with the couple?

Answer

We would love to get photos with each and every one of our loved ones, but unfortunately our timeslot at the chapel is extremely limited. After the ceremony, we will take professional photos with the wedding party and immediate family only. That said, we plan on taking lots of photos during our reception and sharing them with you afterwards. We also encourage you to take your own photos during the reception!
