We first met eyes in a parking lot full of mutual friends. Somewhere in that moment, without quite realizing it, we chose never to look away. Lauren likes to say our first date was a success… even if Will didn’t realize it was a date at the time. Perhaps that’s what made it so magical. It began as a dreamy drive along quiet backroads to Stillwater. The kind of aimless, wandering journey... mixed with some thuds, clunks, and the smell of burning oil. Along the way, Will’s Ranger broke down. Yet somehow, in the middle of inconvenience, we found laughter, ease, and something that felt like home. If so much joy could be found beside an old beaten truck, we knew then there was no limit to the life we could build together. In each other, we found something rare and steady. Will showed Lauren the beauty of loving herself, and Lauren reminded Will that growing up never has to mean growing old. These days, we’re usually found sitting on the same side of the booth over Butter Burgers, planning our next trip, watching Shrek or Zootopia, taking care of Lulu and Finley, and even pausing to pick up the smallest, forgotten things... like the baby's breath in our backyard, or the Volvo key that Finley gleefully terrorized. With full hearts and endless gratitude, we cannot wait to begin this next chapter, surrounded by the people we love most. Cheers to forever.
