FAQs

Question

How will you practice social distancing during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

All guests attending the wedding ceremony will have to wear face masks. We will have seating for guests that will be spaced for social distancing & our ceremony is outdoors.

Question

What are your plans with the Coronavirus pandemic?

Answer

Due to the Coronavirus we are changing our wedding date to August 8th, 2020. Our wedding ceremony will now be at 11am in the Lehmann Rose Garden at the Botanical Gardens. Our reception will begin at 5pm at Gateway Classic Cars in O'Fallon, IL. If you have any questions please return to this page or reach out to the bride-to-be at 618-979-6571.

Question

How will you practice social distancing for the reception?

Answer

For the reception we will let guests choose their own seats so they can sit with their family & friends. We are doing a buffet style for dinner that will be plated by our caterers.

Question

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. Please wear business casual or garden party clothes (dress slacks, khakis & polos, nicer summer dresses). We understand that the wedding is outdoor in June but no shorts please. Please bring your face mask. Guests have to wear masks while in the Gardens.

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. You will have to walk a few blocks to the ceremony. The Garden has paved walkways but you will have to walk in the grass for the ceremony.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

St. Louis weather is pretty tricky to nail down. Typically in early June it's between 70-80 °F during the day. At night it's normally between 50-60 °F.

Question

Where should I park for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

There is free parking available at the Botanical Gardens; however, it does fill up fast. If the parking lot is full when you arrive there are other parking lots owned by the gardens a few blocks away. You can also park on the street surrounding the gardens. We recommend arriving at the Gardens no later than 10:30 to ensure you can park & walk to the ceremony by 11.

Question

What should we do after the wedding ceremony?

Answer

After the wedding please enjoy the Gardens while the wedding party takes photos. The ceremony should end around 12. Guests can start arriving at Gateway Classic Cars at 5. Depending on traffic, it will take approximately 30 minutes to get to the reception hall from the Gardens.
