Mackenzie and Becka met at URI when they both joined the Student Alumni Association. They quickly bonded and decided to share an off-campus apartment during Becka’s junior year and Mackenzie’s senior year. They carpooled to campus, shared lunches of double-stuff Oreos and Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream, and spent hours watching Say Yes to the Dress while planning their own weddings on Pinterest. While living together, they often joked that Mackenzie was Becka’s husband and Becka was Mackenzie’s wife, as Mackenzie enjoyed watching sports and drinking beer while Becka preferred cooking, baking, and decorating their apartment. Mackenzie is gregarious, kind, and easygoing. She is quick to lend a helping hand, and is definitely someone you want on your trivia team!!

Becka and Megan’s friendship blossomed when they were assigned to the same home room in 7th grade. Their bond strengthened as they cheered together through high school. When Becka inevitably begins to overthink a situation, Megan is there with blunt honesty. The two have shared a lifetime of laughter, tears, and revenge planning. Megan is warm, welcoming, and honest. She can always be counted on to give a straightforward opinion.

Hannah and Becka were thrown into each other’s lives from a young age—they attended the same church and rode the same LONG bus route to school. They remained close through high school and college, staying in touch with phone calls, texts, video chats, and good old-fashioned letters! Hannah can always be counted on to give wise and thoughtful advice, earning her the affectionate nickname “Yoda” from Becka. Hannah is practical, understanding, and relaxed. She is an excellent dinner party companion, as she is both a great cook and gifted conversationalist!

On the first day of kindergarten in Mrs. Maclaughlin’s class, two little girls wore almost the very same dress with matching hat. Those two girls were Becka and Michelle. Fast friends, Becka and Michelle remained close through elementary school. Though they drifted apart in middle school, they rekindled their friendship after college while sharing lattes and delving into the details of their astrological signs. Though their different personalities have created tension at times, they always find their way back to each other through growth and understanding. Michelle is the Frankie to Becka’s Grace! (If you haven’t seen Grace and Frankie on Netflix, check it out!) Michelle is cheerful, spontaneous, and free-spirited. She adds zest to any gathering!
