Below is information on local hotels, airlines, and tips on travel. Woodlands Hotel does have rooms however they are not available to book until May 15th 2021.

Flight

Leeds Bradford Airport

Leeds Bradford is the closest airport to the city of Leeds! It is NOT an international airport in the sense that there are no direct flights from the US. Typically, airlines such as Aer Lingus provide one stop flights via Dublin; for example, if you fly from JFK to Leeds Bradford, Aer Lingus would have a stop over in Dublin and a connection flight would take you the rest of the way. On the way back, the Dublin airport has a US Customs station which is typically very quick to get through and allows you to skip the customs line back in the US! Pros: Leeds Bradford is close to the hotels so you will not have to take a train after your flight; Traveling via Aer Lingus allows you to skip the customs line on the way home and usually has cheaper flights Cons: Stop over waits can range from an hour and twenty minutes to ten hours depending on the day and you will have to disembark and re-embark planes.

Flight

Manchester International Airport

Manchester International Airport offers you the opportunity for direct flights into England. Airlines such as American Airlines, British Airlines, Virgin Air, and Delta all fly into this airport. Leeds is an hour and a half train ride from Manchester and an hour to two hour drive depending on traffic. Pros: Allows for nonstop flights Cons: Long train/car rides to Leeds from the Airport (Train tickets range from $30-40)

Flight

London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow allows for non-stop flights. Trains from Heathrow to Leeds are around 3 hours or more with one to two train changes around $60. Flying into London allows you to spend some time in the iconic city prior to taking a train up to Leeds (cheaper trains leave London Kings Cross). Pros: Direct flights available. Make a trip of it and spend time in London Cons: Long train trips that can be expensive straight from the airport
