La Ventana holds a special place in our hearts, and we're excited to share some of our favorite activities with you!
Charter a Fishing Boat

Charter a Fishing Boat

Mexico
+52 612 139 6483

Message our favorite fisherman, Guadalupe, on WhatsApp to arrange an amazing fishing experience! He can fit around 8 people on his boat and the cost is around 5000 pesos for a day. He'll even filet your catch for you to take home! If you are extra lucky, you may spot other amazing wildlife along the way, including dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, and whales.

Snorkel at Cueva del León

Snorkel at Cueva del León

Check out our favorite snorkeling spot in the area. When facing the ocean, we recommend swimming towards the right to the rocks to see the most colorful fish and coral!

Adopt a Dog

Adopt a Dog

If you're considering adding a furry friend to your family, Baja is the perfect place to make it happen! Baja dogs are truly special (yes, we might be a little biased). Baja Pet Rescue has plenty of lovable pups waiting for their forever homes.

Hike El Sargento Trail

Hike El Sargento Trail

This is our favorite hike in the area! Instead of hiking from the water as show on All Trails, we recommend parking at the bike parking lot and taking the trail from there until you hit El Sargento Trail: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Dcva7CB1LEPRr3ye7

Enjoy a Meal at Pólvora

Enjoy a Meal at Pólvora

Enjoy brunch or dinner at our favorite restaurant in town! The menu blends Mexican desert flavors with Middle Eastern influences. The restaurant is nestled in a beautiful setting of cacti. Don't forget to pet the donkey for us!

Rent Mountain Bikes

Rent Mountain Bikes

Mountain biking is big draw to La Ventana. There are several mountain bike rental shops in town, including Rancho Cacachilas Adventure Hub: https://www.ranchocacachilas.com/adventure-hub-en The trails are split into two sections: the north trails and the south trails. The north trails are more difficult and for more experienced riders. The south trails wind through the cardon forest and don't have a lot of elevation gain. All trails are marked on the TrailForks app: https://www.trailforks.com/region/la-ventana-17358/ Will's favorite are the north trails!

Visit the Art Town of Todos Santos

Visit the Art Town of Todos Santos

Todos Santos is a charming, artsy town with gorgeous historic buildings, great cafes and dining, aesthetic boutiques, and beach horseback riding. If you drive just a little further, Cerritos Beach is a popular spot for surfing!

Hike Punta Gorda

Hike Punta Gorda

The stunning trail is a 3.6 mi (5.8 km) out-and-back trail that winds around Punta Gorda at the northern end of La Ventana. The scenery on the trail is stunning and the trail leads to a small, pebbly beach. On calm days, we love going snorkeling from this spot, so bring your gear!

Watch the Sunrise from a Stand-up Paddle Board

Watch the Sunrise from a Stand-up Paddle Board

In the mornings, the water is typically glassy and calm and perfect for stand-up paddle boarding! Action on Board, which is located right at our venue, has a couple of SUP boards for rent.

Take Kiting or Winging Lessons

Take Kiting or Winging Lessons

Windsports are the most popular thing to do in La Ventana. There are countless of kite schools in town. Both the bride and groom have taken kiting lessons at Elevation Kiteboarding School next to Baja Joe's and Marlisa has taken winging lessons from Ilaria at Baja Wing & Watersports.
