Enchanted Garden Halloween Party

Casual, costumes optional

Our welcome event is a Halloween party at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Come in costume (our theme is enchanted garden), come as yourselves, or wear something you've always wanted to but never had the occasion for! For costume inspiration, visit the link under the "Links and things to do" tab. Please note the garden has prohibited these items for environmental concerns: balloons, confetti, flower petals, loose glitter (for throwing) party string, and no invasive plant materials. Thank you for helping preserve the integrity of this conservation garden! This will be an indoor/outdoor event, come before sunset to enjoy the annual sculpture show on display in the garden! There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, festivities and kids activities! Just 2 miles from the hotel. If you want to bake a dessert and are able to bring something sweet to share, please do. We will have platters to display what you bring, and please let Meg or someone in her family know what you’re bringing!

Wedding

Semi-formal

The tea house is a charming indoor/outdoor property just west of Chapel Hill. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be in an open air pavilion. We want our guests to be comfortable, so plan accordingly for walking on a lawn, average daytime temperatures in the mid 70s, and evenings in the 50s. We are excited to welcome children to celebrate with us! Please be sure to list your children and their ages in the RSVP! Also note that our venue is primarily outdoors with a lot of open space. Unused outdoor spaces will not have lighting, so we ask you to keep a close eye on your kids to ensure they do not wander off. Our venue does allow you to leave your car overnight, and encourages this if you feel unsafe to drive home. You must retrieve your car no later than 11 am the day after our wedding to avoid towing. We have hired a shuttle that will depart from the Hyatt Southern Village, and take you to the Honeysuckle on Saturday. See Travel page for details.
