The Line Hotel itself has several fantastic restaurants within the hotel worth checking out (be sure to book reservations ahead of time), and a little coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches and baked goods in the lobby. The sorghum molasses cookie will change your life!
A burger and/or fried chicken sandwich at Lucky Buns, a local favorite in Adams Morgan should not be missed. For any vegetarians reading this, Will highly recommends the veggie burger. Also, don't pass up a serving of the "thick chips." Two words: malt mayo.
Cake Room: where you will find an assortment of cookies, cupcakes, and pies. Will recommends the ginger molasses cookie (if it's in season), and Joe couldn't live without the peanut butter and chocolate pie. Have you noticed that a lot of recs center around baked goods? Yikes!
If you want to see where we get most of our home/clothing inspiration, check out GoodWood: a perfectly quaint clothing/vintage furniture/small gift store on U Street. Say "Hello!" to the owners Anna and Dan for us while you are there. They have a really good eye for unique jewelry pieces, classic fragrances, and incense! Seriously, if we could have gotten married anywhere, GoodWood would have been it!
This classic Farmer's Market is open on Sunday from 8:30am-1:30pm. Go for the free apple slices if anything. However, if you really want to treat yourself, wait in line for a bagel from Call Your Mother...you won't be disappointed!
Museums! Because why not? Some of our favorites include: the Hirshorn, the Portrait Gallery, and the National Gallery of Art.
