Welcome Event

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We'd like to welcome everyone to Anchorage and take advantage of what little time we'll have together! We have reserved a room (with access to an outdoor patio) at a local brewery from 6:00-9:00 p.m. the night before the wedding. Everyone is welcome to come and go as they please. We have purchased a couple of kegs of beer for everyone, but you will also have the option of buying something else on the first floor if you prefer. As far as food goes, we are not planning to provide dinner (we are eating with our immediate families right before heading over to King Street) so you should eat before coming. We will have snacks available, though.

Wedding and Reception

4:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The wedding will begin with the ceremony at 4:00 pm, on the roof of the Kincaid Outdoor Center. Dinner and dancing to follow.

Brunch

9:30 am - 12:00 pm

It's always fun to see people the day after a wedding, so we'd like to provide a central location where people can hang before they head out. Jean's longtime neighbors (the Bustads!) have graciously offered to host a brunch at their house on the Anchorage Hillside. They have a nice porch and backyard for those who prefer to be outside. Their house is up the hill from the rest of Anchorage, so Lyft/cab fares can be high (they were around $20-$25 from midtown Anchorage when we looked in mid-April, but may be a lot higher in June). We would suggest carpooling if you're able! We'll provide an address closer to the wedding.
