Jared and Will met in 2011 when they worked in Albany about 60 miles away from Thomasville. Jared's family is from Thomasville, and a large part of Will's family is from the nearby cities of Moultrie and Pavo. Thomasville is an amazing city full of history, culture, and Southern charm, and Will and Jared can't wait to celebrate their wedding there!
Downtown Thomasville offers a great opportunity for dining, shopping, and sightseeing. Enjoy a famous Pool Room hot dog, check out menswear at Al Dixon's, buy some award-winning cheese from the Sweet Grass Dairy Cheese Shop, or look for great home decor at Relish.
For many years, the Big Oak Tree of Thomasville has stood as one of the show spots of the city. One of the largest Southern Live Oak trees east of the Mississippi River, the Big Oak (c. 1680) has a limb span of 165 feet, a trunk circumference of just over 26.5 feet and reaches 68 feet in height.
Thomasville is called The Rose City for a reason, and our wedding is perfectly timed to see some beautiful blooms on the over 1500 rose bushes in the city's rose garden.
