Please arrive at 11:45am as the ceremony will begin promptly at noon. We have a short window of time and need everyone to be seated by 11:55am.
The easiest route is to take Orleans Avenue to Marconi Drive, then turn right on Dreyfous Drive. There is a parking lot to your left. Peristyle is across the street from the parking lot. While public parking will be available, it is not guaranteed. We suggest taking a Lyft or Uber. City Park is a 1,300-acre park and is approximately 50% larger than Central Park in NYC, so it is often very busy.

Since we'll be in a beautiful garden setting during a New Orleans summer, think dressy linen (no white or cream please!), sport jackets, garden party dresses, etc. An elevated version of what you'd wear at the horse races at the Fairgrounds on Easter would be great.
The ceremony will be outdoors under the Peristyle open-air pavilion. Please keep in mind that New Orleans is very warm in September. As of now, it is projected to be around 87°F and sunny during the ceremony. The brunch reception will be held indoors at Parkview Terrace which features a wraparound porch for perfect views of Bayou Metairie, Popp Bandstand, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, and the surrounding park.
Your invitation will include the name of every guest invited to attend our celebration. Unfortunately, our reception venue is strict about head count, which is why we are unable to accommodate plus ones for every guest. We hope you understand!
Boozy brunch is our favorite thing in the world, absolutely! There will be a full open bar for guests to enjoy throughout brunch, plus mimosas and bloody marys. However, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to attend the after-party, as drinks after the reception will not be fully covered.
We would like our special day to be an adult-only occasion.
As you know, we love taking pictures of everything and everyone! During our ceremony, please allow our fantastic photographer to take photos without distraction.
