Our story technically starts with someone else’s love story. Our best friends Brandon and Jess started dating, and naturally, we were pulled into their orbit. At first, we were just “the plus-ones.” You know — the supportive besties tagging along for group dinners, concerts, movie nights. But somewhere between the friend group trips, shared car rides, inside jokes, and rolling our eyes at our friends’ cheesy couple moments, we became close friends ourselves. Real friends. The kind who stay up too late talking about everything and nothing after everyone else goes to bed. And then came that night — in his barn bar. We were the last two standing after a small hangout, talking, laughing, playing darts and pretending we didn’t feel the shift in the air. And then — finally — a kiss. Soft, a little shy, but filled with everything we hadn’t said out loud yet. That kiss in the barn bar changed everything. What started as a shared connection through our best friends became a love all our own. And now, we get to say we fell in love in the best way — as friends, turned into that once in a lifetime kind of love.
