It was the day after my birthday and my friends and I celebrated cinco de Mayo at Blue Fin Seafood Restaurant & Bar, in The Village of Sandhills. We sat at the bar, where Will was seated alone. I asked if he could scoot over a seat because another friend of mine was going to join myself and my other 4 friends. He scooted over and scooted back since my other friend never made it. A guy walked in asking, “Are you guys married?” I said, “No, I don’t even know him.” The guy proceeded to tell us why we should never get married and everyone around the bar about his heartbroken story about what happened with him and his ex. Everyone chimed him and we determined the guy was broken from his past relationship. We asked when did he experience this heartbreak and it was 5 years prior so everyone determined he was broken and needed therapy to move on. I recorded the conversation and interviewed Will with my phone asking him what’s his status and what he thought about the situation. Will got up to use the restroom and asked if I could watch his plate because his food just arrived to the bar. I asked for his pickle off of his plate he said no and ate the pickle before he went to the restroom.😒 The restaurant was closing and we decided we would all continue celebrating at San Jose, Will decided he wanted to join us as well, so he met us there. We all hung out and Will was friendly to everyone but I had my eyes on him and was waiting for him to say what’s your number or something.🤷🏾‍♀️ He just kept it friendly. My friend dropped her eyeglasses and he picked them up and put them on. I said let me take a picture of you, those glasses look good on you.😍 Fast forward we were leaving because the restaurant was closing and I said “Let me send you your picture.” I figured I’d shoot my shot, if he never texted/called me we would just never spoken again.🤷🏾‍♀️ I got home safely and started eating my late night leftovers.
