If you won't be able to make it to the races but still want to see Churchill Downs, the museum is a great option! The Kentucky Derby Museum is one of the region’s premier attractions, celebrating the tradition, history, hospitality, and pride of the world-renowned event that is the Kentucky Derby. With a general admission ticket, visitors can enjoy two floors of interactive exhibits, and a 30-minute guided historic walking tour at Churchill Downs Racetrack.

Also for the baseball fans, there will be home baseball games going on at Louisville Slugger Field during the days leading up to the wedding. The Louisville Bats are a minor league team affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds. Tickets are ~$10.
Walk over the Ohio River to Indiana! This mile-long bridge was once used by trains and has been repurposed for walking and biking. On the other side of the bridge, you will find Parlour Pizza & Pints, Ramiro's Tacos & Tequila, Union outdoor game yard, ice cream, etc! This is one of our favorite places to take visitors.
This National Park in south central Kentucky is home to the world's longest known cave system, stretching over 426 miles. The park has over 400 caves, including some that are at least 10 million years old. It's about an hour and a half from the hotels!
The Louisville Mega Cavern is a 100 acre limestone cavern. You can zip line, try the challenge course, take tram ride, or do a walking tour!

If we had to recommend one restaurant for you to try, it would be this one! Classic Cuban cuisine & cocktails served in a bright, lively locale with a leafy outdoor patio. You'll need reservations! Louisville has TONS of great local restaurants. Happy googling!
