Amy Stewart Miller
Bride
Amy is originally from Laurinburg, now residing in Charlotte, NC. Amy is most commonly referred to as that dancing girl that spins way too fast. Some people know Amy as the therapist that works with families, couples, and individuals to counsel them through difficult times in life. Some know Amy as a Christian who loves her some Jesus, sings on Praise teams and dances for the Lord. Others know Amy as Mom of Cory and Cole. Amy will tell you that she is in love with her best friend, William Stephen Horne, and can't wait to start a life with him.
William Stephen Horne
Groom
William (Stephen to his family) is originally from Maxton and currently resides in Charlotte, NC. He is the kindest, most comical, quirky goofball, who has knowledge and abilities to do anything and fix anything. He works in the computer tech world, which I cannot explain well enough to be accurate as to what that is. Stephen, is the son of Harriet Horne and Amy's high school coach, William Horne. He has two amazing sisters, Angie Shafer and Kim Cole. Two brother-in-laws, David and Mark. Two nephews, Jake (Stephen's mini me) and Conner. And last but not least, one gorgeous and intelligent niece, Kasey. William is like the dance floor that allows Amy to move freely, always knowing she returns with a love like no other. William/Stephen, has one canine fur baby, Chewie.
Jason Butler
Officiant
Jason, is William's cousin, and friend to Amy. What better way to top off this beautiful memory, than to have a family filled wedding party. He will be bringing together this couple in a forever bond, before God, family, and friends. With a tailored ceremony, this day will only be complete with this man. Jason will be accompanied by Mary, and her children.
Ida Hicks Stewart
Mother of the Bride
Ida is a lovely Christian woman who has deleted the word NO from her vocabulary. Ida is the most hard working woman, and made it possible for Amy, (the dancing queen) to reach her full potential, by always encouraging her and keeping her grounded. Ida was that Mom who had to take Amy to dance classes, band concerts, marching band, baton twirling lessons, sports, and pretty much anything Amy could add to the list of things to do. Ida will be baking and decorating the wedding cake with Amy, so you all know that will be an awesome cake!!!
Benjamin L Stewart, Jr.
Father of the Bride aka Boogie Benny
Boogie Benny, Amy's favorite dance partner (except for slow dancing with Will). Benny is a hard working Campbell Soup man, who will soon retire to enjoy many more dances at SOS with Amy and the family! Benny was that Dad who felt like a never ending ATM for Amy's ridiculous extra curricular activities. Benny taught Amy how to work on cars and fix things, as well as teaching her financial responsibility. It's hard to remember which is the parent, at times, but in all fairness, you're only as old as you act (we are 21 forever, right Dad?!) Benny will be "running" Amy down the aisle to give her to William, to have, to hold, and wants to remind Will, she is non-refundable. Best Dad a girl could ever have!
Cory Thomas McKeel
Best Man
Cory is Amy's oldest son, who currently resides in Winston Salem, NC. Cory is a Web/Gaming designer and has been a delightful and challenging part of Amy's life. Cory is full of wit, sarcasm, and comic relief, at all times, much like his Uncle Ben. William was not only able to attend Cory's Kinder graduation, but his High School Graduation also. Cory will soon complete his College degree from Full Sail University.
Cole Miller
Ring Bearer
Cole is the youngest son of Amy and he is one cool kid. Cole participates in triathlons and is in 7th grade. Cole has been a comical part of WillAmy's relationship and always an encourager of the two. Cole will be carrying the rings for the couple and making sure nothing is forgotten, as he has a memory like no one else! Cole will be making sure everyone is on time and the wedding goes as planned.
Chewie
Canine fur baby of Groom
We cannot forget William's precious 3 year old baby Chewbacca, also known as Chewie, Chew Chew, Chew Bear, and many other sweet nicknames. Chewie and Cole are inseparable and Cole loves that he finally has a furry brother. Chewie will not be joining us for the ceremony, but waiting patiently for our return.
Ben and Stephanie Stewart
Brother and Sister-in-Law of the Bride
Ben is Amy's younger brother, who has always been a witty/comical part of the family. Ben works with the City of Laurinburg and is married to Stephanie. These two have a close knit relationship and are never seen separate from one another, truly, inseparable. Ben and Stephanie are the proud parents of two canine children, Sasha and Chief.
Harriett Horne
Mother of the Groom
Harriett is the precious mother of Stephen, who fostered an incredible man. Harriett is retired and spends time Quilting and Gardening her oasis on her back deck. Harriett is assisting Amy in becoming a better gardener and listens so intently to Amy's long conversations about anything and everything. Harriett has been a sweet part of WillAmy's relationship, always being supportive and helpful.
William Horne aka COACH
Father of the Groom
William is the Father of Stephen "William", who instilled the hard work ethic that makes Stephen"William" so successful. Coach (since Amy just can't call him anything else) was Amy's high school Coach, who often poked fun and made gym/sports a more challenging part of Amy's Scotland high school days. Coach checks on the happy couple often, making sure all is well with them and making sure the family is all okay. I think he should be dubbed, the "keeper of the family".
Angie Shafer
Sister of the Groom, High School friend of the Bride
Angie has been a key source of support and encouragement of WillAmy, from working through relationship stuff, offering the heirloom engagement ring , to checking in on the sanity of the bride. Angie currently resides in Wisconsin with her husband David, son, Conner, and son Jake, who lives in Montana. They also have a daughter, Nicole and two grand-kids, Kayleighanna & Kordelle.
Kim Cole
Sister of the Groom, High School friend of the Bride
Kim is the middle child in the Horne family, currently living in Pinehurst. Kim is the wife of Mark and Mom to Kasey. Kim brought love and encouragement to Amy in the tough times throughout WillAmy's relationship. Kim spent many hours for many years, listening to Amy talk/whine about Stephen, checking in on him, and just venting when it was necessary. This was a difficult task folks! She has been a sweet part of this love story.
Johnny Sutherland
Photographer
Johnny is Amy's cousin and he will be the wedding photographer. Johnny has been a part of the SOS tradition for the duration, usually was up at dawn, helping Amy's Mom and Dad put the Boogie Benny tent up, and was always the man behind the camera taking pictures and creating amazing memories. Johnny currently resides at the beach with the beautiful Ms. Nancy.
Doug and Crystal Currie
Videographer/Photography
Crystal and Abigail (Cory's sister), have been a part of the family for many years. They have been through some tough times and fun times together, supporting one another through it all, and as soon as Doug arrived, he became an amazing support system as well. Doug and Crystal, will be doing Photography and Videography for the happy couple.

You may not be standing here today, you may just be too far away, but as you look down on us this day, may your heart sing glories to God for the love that was made. We will remain worthy to wear these rings, as reminders of love and what patience might bring. To always think before speaking, to be kind before mad, to attempt to love one another the way God has planned. We look up to you all, knowing you are not here, but with us you stand, with sweet spirits near. Within the bouquet, Amy has placed an angel in honor of those passed, two Celtic crosses from both Bride and Groom, and shells from every beach trip the couple made together. With these tokens of love, we honor you.
