FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

June 1, 2025. This is not a hard deadline, if you need more time to figure out logistics - take it! We hope you all can make it :)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. But most importantly, we want you to be comfortable! Upstate, NY in late October will be cold. Please dress and plan accordingly. Think - blankets, shawls, jackets

Question

Dogs? It's a summer camp, can I bring my dog?

Answer

No. We know you all love your dogs and each one is perfect, but sorry, no dogs allowed at Camp Dudley.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Parking will be on the Camp Dudley campus at MacLean Lodge or across the street near the basketball courts, for people traveling from off-campus.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. Please be safe and abide by the law. If you feel like this may be a problem, we encourage you to stay on campus.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please see the event schedule page.

Question

I'm a little nervous about the idea of a "camp" wedding. What should I expect?

Answer

Expect our wedding to be rustic, easy-going and a good time. Camp Dudley is an all-boys summer camp - so expect bunk beds, communal bathrooms, and an Adirondack vibe. The year-round crew at Dudley does a phenomenal job keeping the campus in great shape. The camp offers a large dining room space, basketball courts, a track, waterfront, several large event buildings, and a gorgeous main campus of 640 acres. We hope you check out their website and see what it's all about!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children are welcome to attend the ceremony. We will not be providing a babysitter but you are welcome to bring a babysitter for the weekend and include them in your stay. If you are planning to do so, please let us know. Keep in mind that this is a wedding with alcohol, lots of adults and easily accessible lakefront, so SAFETY MUST BE A PRIORITY.

Question

What are the accomodations like? Will I be camping in a tent?

Answer

- cabin sleeping with bunk beds and mattresses (you will need your own sleeping bag, pillow) - there are lights and electricity - there is NO heat - the bathrooms are not heated but there is hot water (bring bathrobe and water shoes) - you will be staying in a cabin with only people you know or family

For all the days along the way
