In October of 2017, Bobby's and Samantha's lives were about to change forever - by simply swiping right on each other on Tinder. Samantha was just starting a new career in the brokerage industry which began with studying all day for the required licenses she needed. While she was also finishing up her online associates degree at night. Bobby, who recently moved back home to Cahokia, IL from Houston, TX, was looking for a steady job that he could make a career out of. They were both busy building their independent lives while casually looking for someone to spend time with and find a deeper connection. They never imagined that they would go from independent building to building their lives together. Samantha 'friend-zoned' Bobby for the first month that they were in contact - as she didn't have the time for a social life. For some reason, Bobby stuck around and stayed in communication.

Bobby and Samantha met for the first time at a Denny's late at night. Samantha was coming back from celebrating passing her licensing exams. They sat in Denny’s across from each other in a booth, ordered some food and drinks, and just talked for a while. Bobby walked Samantha out to her car and surprised her with a kiss goodnight. This kiss was probably one of the most awkward kisses of their lives. Before Samantha could even comprehend what had happened, she got into her car and drove home. When she got home, she messaged Bobby right away saying how she wasn't expecting a kiss and not to ghost her. Thankfully, when Bobby read the message, he just laughed it off. They both knew that they felt something different from the moment they met and didn’t want a kiss to be the end of it all. Luckily, it wasn’t!

As each day passed, they both wanted to spend more time together and learn more about each other. The communication grew to a constant necessity. Within a few weeks, Bobby asked Samantha if she would be his girlfriend. She, of course, said yes. After a couple months, Bobby was the first one to say "I love you" and Samantha said it back! She was just waiting for him to say it first. Six months into their relationship, Bobby got a phone call from his old workplace in Houston offering him a big opportunity. Samantha knew how much Bobby needed this and encouraged him to take it. She promised that if they could do long distance for 6 months then she would move to Houston to start a new life with him. Those 6 months were lloonnggg but they made it! Samantha packed up what she could of her apartment, loaded it into her car, along with her two cats (Spotz and Shilah), and drove the 12+ hours to Houston, TX with Bobby in January of 2019.

Bobby and Samantha learned the trials and tribulations couples go through their first year of living together. Bobby had to grow past some of his bachelor habits and Samantha had to work on not being so bossy and independent. After getting past the first year of living together, the 2020 pandemic hit and no one was ready for that. Somehow they made it through! Bobby has shared his love for gaming with Samantha, over the years they have played several different games together, with their current play being Throne and Liberty. Bobby and Samantha have explored over a dozen cities together - Los Angeles, Vegas, Galveston, Corpus Christi, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, New York, Orlando, and Boston to name a few. They have been on a couple of cruises, found a shared love for certain foods (such as sushi, Korean BBQ, Japanese BBQ, Brazilian, Hot Pot), and have enjoyed some of the many attractions that Houston has to offer (like the Houston Aquarium, a Texans Game at NRG Stadium, a few events at the Toyota Center, and The Texas Renaissance Festival). Bobby and Samantha moved between a couple different apartments throughout the years until they finally decided to buy their first house together in August of 2023! Bobby FINALLY popped the question in September of 2023. They added a new addition to their family in January of 2024 - a 7 week old pup named Marina. Marina is now a little over a year old and they are hanging in there while she explores her teenager stage of her life. Bobby and Samantha recently found out they will be welcoming another new addition to their family. Baby Battle is coming summer 2025 ❤️
