Wedding Party

Elizabeth Hagan

Maid of Honor

Kate and Liz met back in 2015 when their academic advisor, Nikki Simpson (thank you, Nikki!), put them in 4 of their 6 classes together freshman year of college. They quickly bonded over their love for Lana Del Rey, wine and scary movies. They actually had the exact same high school yearbook quote (by Lana, of course), which was just crazy because it's not a well-known quote. It wasn't hard to quickly become best friends because it felt like they had known each other for years! Fun fact: Liz actually made a wedding Pinterest board for Kate before she had ever made one for herself.

Jackson Webb

Best Man

Will and Jackson go way back as they had played baseball against each other every summer from the time they were about 9 years old. After the conclusion of the 14u season (8th grade), the team coached by Will's dad merged with the team coached by Jackson's dad, and from that moment on, Jackson and Will have been best friends. Jackson and Will continued their baseball careers together at Georgia Tech as roommates, and proved that their friendship ran deeper than just baseball when both of them inevitably had to hang up their cleats.

Emily Ann Galloway

Bridesmaid

Kate's extremely lucky to have Emily-Ann as a future sister-in-law! Emmy and Ty moved back to Atlanta from Louisville and Will and Kate have loved every second. Especially the sand volleyball games every Sunday, pool days, party buses and summer concerts. Kate had so much fun being in Emmy's wedding and now can't wait for Emmy to be in hers! Can't wait for all the fun memories they will make in the future. Fun fact: Kate caught the bouquet at Emmy's wedding in April 2021!

Ty Hornbuckle

Groomsman

Will and Ty met back in 2018 when Ty started dating Will's sister, Emily Ann. While never being, the "overprotective brother" Will was always a good judge of which boyfriends make the cut, and which do not. It only took Will one evening being around Ty to see that he made the cut and made his sister happy. Fast forward a few years, Ty and Emily Ann are married, and Will had the honor of officiating their wedding and being one of Ty's groomsmen. Nowadays, Will hangs out at the pool in the backyard of Ty and Emily Ann's house in Woodstock while also trying to develop a taste for bourbon under the tutelage of his "big bro" Ty.

Lena Liebrecht

Bridesmaid

Lena and Kate met freshman year of college in 2015 at their school's club volleyball tryout. They both made the team and proceeded to carpool to practices with each other. Lena, Liz and Kate lived together for the last two years in college and had the best time! Fun fact: Liz and Lena went to elementary school together and Liz and Kate didn't know they both knew Lena until about a month or two into college. All three of them ran into each other in the cafeteria and were all very confused!

Jake Lee

Groomsman

Will and Jake met as freshman at Georgia Tech as members of the baseball team. Despite hardly knowing Jake, aside from his twitter presence, Will knew from the first night on campus together that they were going to be great friends. Through the rest of college, Will and Jake became even better friends, despite Will's shorter baseball career and despite Jake's shorter temper when playing against Will in NBA 2K. Nowadays, Jake is Will's volunteer golf instructor and lifetime scramble partner and definite friend for life.

Kristy Wheeless

Bridesmaid

Kristy and Kate met waaaay back in preschool (shoutout St. Catherine's). Kristy is Kate's oldest friend and pretty much a sister to her. They've been with each other through every phase of life - awkward stages, first starting dating, going away to college and now planning their weddings at the same time! Kate also gets to be in Kristy's wedding this October. Fun fact: Kristy played a very crucial role in setting Will and Kate up. As Kate's best friend, it was her responsibility to make sure Kate had a date to Blessed Trinity's first-ever Sadie Hawkins Dance. Kristy's high school boyfriend was Will's best friend and so they were able to set up Will and Kate to go to the dance!

Robert Winborne

Groomsman

Will and Robert met back in the fall of 2015 when they both started out as freshman on the Georgia Tech baseball team, but the two really became great friends when they began living together to start their sophomore year. Despite both guys being messy and unorganized they made great roommates and decided to continue living together through the rest of college. Over the years, Will and Robert enjoyed nights on the couch, a few nights out (that Will reluctantly agreed to, but never regretted), and countless questionable decisions. And despite dealing with each other's "less desirable" qualities over their three years as roommates, the two became friends for life.

Claire Davis

Bridesmaid

Claire and Kate are maybe one of the best success stories of "random" freshman roommates in college. Although it should be mentioned that they did have the help of a roommate app (thank you technology). They met in 2015 before school started to get to know each other over fried chicken (Zaxby's) and knew right away that they would be great friends. They joined the same sorority freshman year and were basically tied at the hip. College definitely would not have been as fun without Claire! Fun fact: Claire has a hidden talent of being able to rap most 2000's songs!

Burton Dulaney

Groomsman

Will and Burton met as freshman at Georgia Tech as members of the baseball team. Despite playing against each other in the summers since they were 9 years old (who could forget the countless matchups between the East Cobb Warriors and the East Side Thunder), they only got to know one another once they started playing for the same team. Their friendship ran much deeper than baseball, as Will and Burton really started to spend more time together when they both hung up the cleats after their sophomore years. From deep dives into professional wrestling, mixed martial arts, 90s grunge music, and countless other niche interests, Will and Burton can talk for hours about anything and everything and have made a friendship that will last a lifetime.
