No pressure to come early but we recommend taking some time to explore the beautiful Bay Area if you're able! Sunday evening is the main event and we would be thrilled if you can join us at our welcome party on Saturday night!
The wedding will be in downtown San Francisco, accesible by public transportation and walking distance from many great hotels. Oakland hotels also provide an affordable and convenient option if you're comfortable taking uber or public transportation to the wedding. The Welcome Halloween party will be across the bridge in the East Bay so staying in Oakland is a great idea if you're planning to attend that event (although you can still easily get there if you're staying in SF). Check out the Travel page for info on our hotel block and other great spots to stay. If you need more guidance, reach out to Sophia and Corey!
The dress code is Black Tie Optional.
Great question! Ladies: Floor-length gowns are encouraged, but cocktail or dressy midi dresses are also perfect. Shnazzy jumpsuits are totally welcome. Heels, flats, sparkles, whatever makes you feel glam and ready to dance. Men: A tux is welcome but not required! A suit with a dress shirt and tie is great. Basically, look sharp, feel hot, donโt wear jeans. If you need more guidance, reach out to Sophia :)
This will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a night off to eat, drink, dance, and let loose. If you'd like recommendations of local babysitters for the night, please email coreyandsophia2026@gmail.com
Plus ones are by invitation only. If your invitation includes a guest, their name will be listed. If not, we promise itโs not personalโwe just had to make some tough choices.
The wedding will be indoors!
Bay Area weather has a mind of its own. That being said, November in the Bay is typically cool and crisp, with daytime temperatures in the mid-50s to mid-60s and cooler evenings. In short: It's not freezing, it's not hot. Wear layers!
Only if you want to but it's by no means necessary! There are plenty of way to get around without renting a car but some might like the flexibility to explore the wider Bay Area on the weekend. There will be free street parking (yay Sunday!) around the venue as well as paid parking in a nearby garage. Check out the travel page for info about ride-share and public transportation in the Bay.
Sad! You will be missed! But of course, we understand. If you know you won't be able to attend, it would help us immensely if you could email us to let us know ASAP at coreyandsophia2026@gmail.com
Yes! And not just any Sunday, it's daylight savings! The good kind! Where everyone gets an extra hour of sleep the night before our wedding so we're feeling fresh and ready to party it up. And while we understand it's not possible for everyone, we recommend taking Monday 11/2 off if you're able, so you can party it up guilt-free the night before and then join us at our goodbye brunch!
The night before our wedding will be Halloween for those who celebrate. The Saturday night Welcome drinks will double as a halloween party, stay tuned for more details.
No problem! As you may know, the bride can't eat gluten so we get it! Let us know when you RSVP and weโll take care of you. FYI: the entire wedding will be pescatarian.
Congrats, you found the hidden pineapple! You win a free drink (or 10) at the wedding! The pineapple represents a special milestone in our story. In High School, we were cast opposite each other as the old couple in Cabaret and we sang a romantic song about a pineapple. We fell in love (on stage and IRL) during that show and pineapples have been a special symbol for us ever since! We also love that pineapples symbolize hospitality, friendship, and warm welcome, which is exactly what we're going for with our wedding! And yes, we know that upside down pineapples have other symbolism, which is why ours is right-side up :)
