Question

What is the Money Dance and how do I participate?

Answer

Elizabeth and Justin will be hosting a Prosperity Dance during the reception. This dance is a Filipino tradition in which guests line up to take turns dancing with the bride and groom. As they dance, guests pin money onto the newlyweds garments. Feel free to get creative with your bills as garlands, crowns, and streamers are fun ways to participate.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This event is summer formal. Think long, flowy dresses, suits, and pops of color. Keep in mind that July in Chicago can be hot and humid, so we recommend lighter fabrics.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We want to make the day as smooth as possible for our out of town guest who may be unfamiliar with the city of Chicago and its traffic patterns. So, we are providing transportation to and from the Palmer House hotel to the Greenhouse Loft venue. There will be two yellow school busses departing the Palmer House hotel sharply at 3:35pm and 3:45pm. Please be ready and waiting in front of the hotel by then. The busses will be available for return trips to the Palmer House after the wedding reception concludes starting at 11:15pm. If you would like to take alternate transportation, we recommend utilizing a ride share or taxi to travel to and from the ceremony. The venue does have a parking lot; however, we encourage all of our guests to leave their car keys home if they plan on celebrating with a drink or two.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00. Please arrive by 4:45 to ensure you have time to find the venue and grab a seat. ***Justin says "NO Filipino time!"***

Question

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be taking place in an outdoor patio. The reception will be indoors. *If there is rain in the forecast, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved indoors.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1.

For all the days along the way
