Things To Do
Trail of Ten Falls
This trail lives up to its name by promising views of 10 beautiful waterfalls. It is a loop trail and is not particularly difficult to hike. The full loop is just under 8 miles, but you can do a shorter loop and see half of the falls if you are low on time. It is $5 for a day use permit, which you can buy at the park.
Voodoo Doughnut - Old Town
It wouldn't be a trip to Portland without a Voodoo donut.
Studio One Theaters
We love to relax and watch movies, and with over-sized chairs, couches, and dinner, snacks, and drinks brought to your seat, this is one of our favorite places to veg.
Angels Rest
Angel's Rest is a 4.5 mile total out and back hike. It can be a steep climb up, but the views of the river and mountains from the top is well worth the effort.
Xicha Brewing Co.
Haley loves the Guava Golden Ale, and Sam loves the chicken tacos.
Multnomah Falls
This is a must see waterfall for any trip to Oregon. No hike is required. You can park and walk up to the falls, so this is an easy option for anyone short on time but still interested in seeing nature.
Portland Saturday Market
The Saturday Market is a great way to see downtown, shop at local vendors, check out the food cart scene, and experience some of what keeps Portland weird.
Powell's City of Books
This is an entire city block of books with multiple stories of floors (and multiple stories in books), and it is Haley's vision of what Heaven may be.
Helium Comedy Club - Portland
This is one of our favorite date night spots! The shows are always good for a laugh.

With a rotating list of quirky, locally produced flavors, Salt & Straw is always a fun way to satisfy a sweet tooth. Just be prepared to wait in line!
Sawatdee Thai Cuisine
This is one of our go-to food stops! It is a little whole in the wall, but it's so delicious.

Great burgers. Huge plates of fries. Every condiment imaginable.
OMSI
OMSI (Oregon Museum of Sciencec and Industry) is a fun, hands-on museum great for families and fellow science nerds.
Beer and Wine Sampling
Oregon is home to some of the best craft breweries and vineyards. Some places we like are: Deschutes Brewery, 10 Barrel, Coria Vineyards, Utopia Vineyards.
