We first met in 7th grade at Washington Junior High School (shoutout to all the Washington Warriors reading this). Two years of friendship– and several girlfriends later– Mikey finally mustered up the courage to "ask me out" freshman year of High School on AOL messenger. I was so excited about it that I instantly called a friend to tell her the big news and started screaming and yelling "OMG" right she picked up. All of the sudden, I hear a boys voice on the other end of the line.... “Um, hello....?” “Hellooo... who is this?!” “Mikey....” “.........” *PANIC* *INTERNAL SCREAMING* *FACEPALM* Turns out that in all my excitement I accidentally called Mikey (RIGHT after he asked me to be his girlfriend) instead of my friend. As a 14 year old girl I was absolutely mortified, but looking back now, it was a perfectly fitting start to our beautiful journey!
