The Bride and Groom

Whitney

Bride

Whitney grew up in Brownsburg, IN. She had an early love of movies, animals, and music, which led to her extensive collection of DVDs, Spice Girl Memorabilia, and stuffed animals. She spent a lot of her time riding her bike to the library, and always had at least one book on every family trip. She loved learning about horses and whales, and would tell everyone who asked that she wanted to be a Killer Whale Trainer when she grew up. She always had to be the center of attention when there were guests at the house, and would sing for everyone. She played soccer and joined a lot of clubs in high school, like spell bowl and student council. She got her degree in History, but worked as a server at a few different restaurants until she went to school for Surgical Technology. She graduated in 2015 and immediately started a job at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis. She worked with the ENT and Liver teams on many complicated cancer surgeries, and kept her job as a server at Longhorn on weekends. In 2019, she left Indiana to become a traveler, which brought her to Oregon. She worked in Seattle and Tacoma before heading back to Oregon. She loves spending time with the dogs, eating ice cream, and collecting rocks and crystals. She is so thankful to have a partner like Trevor who has given her a wonderful new family and a place to call home.

Trevor

Groom

Trevor grew up in Lewiston, ID, where he had a great high school career as a State Wrestling Finalist and a champion football player. He moved to Portland after high school to work as a Journeyman Carpenter and start a family. He has two sons, Tanner and Logan, and a wonderful grandbaby, Thorin. In 2015, Trevor graduated from Mt Hood Community College with a degree in Applied Science and a Certificate in Surgical Technology. He has been at Sunnyside since 2016, and is a Safety Lead and Union Steward. He has worked at the Union as a Contract Specialist and as a member of the Bargaining team, making sure that techs and nurses all over Portland have the best benefits and pay. He likes to stay busy on his days off, whether it’s by working on the Jeep, wood-working, black-smithing, camping, or spending time with the dogs.
