I met Sam through Nick's best man (& her husband), Eduardo. As the two of them have started their lives together & began their family, Sam has given me the honor of being a tía to her two beautiful girls. I am in awe of Sam's super-mom abilities & her fearlessness in life.

Nick is my oldest friend, having met at church when we were 5 years old & becoming friends solely based on the fact we shared the same name. But that was only the beginning as we've only gotten closer over the years. Smart & driven with a superb taste in music.

Joe & I met 10 years ago at YVCC in the class of Señor Chama. We became friends over a shared love of the same music. He's the most creative & intuitive person I've ever known. After moving back from LA we reconnected & decided to form "Dead Languages", a band celebrating the music we grew up with.

Lucas & I met as kids through our families. I "threatened" him with my plastic knife I carried everywhere & then never saw him again... Until middle school at least. We reconnected the first day of band & have been brothers ever since. Life keeps us busy nowadays but the bond we share remains intact.
