We're finally tying the knot!

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in the beautiful Marin Headlands! California is a really special place to us - not only is it where we met, but we've also fallen in love with the blend of vibrant city life and wild country that is the northern coast of California. The Headlands really embody what we hold most dear about this place. From the smell of eucalyptus in the air, to the sea breeze bringing blankets of fog off the coast, this place is magical. We look forward to sharing it with you and welcoming you here from wherever you call home - whether it's down the street from our house, or across the Atlantic.

Every winter, we go skiing in Colorado with my (Whitney's) family. I was in grad school in Boston at the time, so Lauren arranged for the two of us to head out early to spend a few days together before the rest of the crew arrived. Lauren planned for us to snowshoe to Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park to propose (it's a beautiful spot, Google it). When we left Boulder, it was a sunny 70 degrees, so we each only brought a light jacket. However, by the time we got to Dream Lake, it was a white-out. Nevertheless, Lauren set up to take a photo in front of the "vista" (I had NO idea what was about to happen), and got down on one knee. He said some really sweet things that neither of us can remember, and I said YES! It was way too cold to stick around, so we hiked the whole way down sharing Champagne from the bottle, and getting congratulations along the way. Despite the weather (or likely because of it) it was a magical day.
