Mt. Princeton Hot Springs has day passes for non-guests. The resort also has a lodge/cabins however, they are usually booked pretty far out and are a bit more of a drive to Buena Vista.
If you want to take advantage of all of the hot spring options nearby, Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn & Spa would be the closest to our venue. Their accommodations are more holistic focused and you can really unplug and recenter (note: there are no TVs or WiFi in ANY of their accommodations).
Twin Lakes are a beautiful site to see. It gives you all of the outdoor fun like hiking, biking, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding and more. Definitely recommend at least driving out to this one and seeing the colors changing!
For those of you that want to be extra adventurous, you can also hike the highest 14er in Colorado; Mt. Elbert. It's a great mountain to start out at as it is relatively easy and safe hike overall. However, you'll still want to make sure you are acclimated to the elevation before attempting to hike anywhere in the high valley. Drink lots of water!
There are plenty of outdoor adventures you can do while visiting BV. Zip Lining, ATV tours, Mountain Biking, Rafting, Kayaking, and more. Check out BV Adventure Hub to book your adventure!
The fall colors should be at peak time during our wedding weekend. Take a drive or a hike around one of the many parks nearby. Browns Canyon also offers white-water rafting and camping if you want to be more adventurous!
The nearby town, Salida, is super cute and fun to explore. Cute shops, good restaurants, and has a few great breweries you should check out.
