Our story

Boise, ID (met) | Louisville, KY (engaged) | Buena Vista, CO (married)

Life sort of randomly pushed us both to Boise, ID in the late summer of 2018. Boise was beautiful and everyone was so nice, but it was hard meeting people moving to a new city. We eventually each joined the dating app, Hinge, where I (Paige) came across an adorable picture of Ryan putting a tie on his dog, Shadow. I sent a "comment" on the picture that started it all. We met for our first date at the Historic Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise on October 12, 2018. The Nightmare Before Christmas was playing. We decided to get drinks after the movie at a nearby bar called Red Feather. We ended up talking for over two hours; mainly about our mutual love for dogs. More dates followed including a Halloween night out (Ryan dressed as "Jim dressed as Dwight" from the Office and Paige dressed as a magical Unicorn-- yes we were 27yrs old) and making French Toast (Brinner!) together. We met each other's dogs, got to know each other's family, and quickly fell in love. A few months after we started dating, Ryan found out that he would need to move back to Kentucky for work. He (nervously) asked me if I would consider moving with him. I answered, without a doubt in my mind, "Heck Yeah!". After 8 blissful months in Boise, we moved to Louisville, KY. We moved into the cutest little house that our friends, Kyle and Abbey, rented to us. This house will always be a part of our story because Ryan proposed to me in the entry hallway on March 21st, 2020. Though we loved the city, loved our friends, and loved this house, life threw another curveball; after a wonderful year and a half in Louisville, KY, we moved to Los Angeles, CA. Though we are now LA transplants, Colorado (my home state) is where I always pictured myself getting married. Ryan's family recently moved to beautiful CO as well, so it was the natural choice for us. We knew we wanted a Rocky Mountian wedding getaway, and Buena Vista will be just that. We are so excited to share this next part of our story with you all!
