Things To Do

Village Tavern

2000 Griffith Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103

Chris and Carly love this restaurant in Winston-Salem. If you go, try the ribeye steak or the salmon—they’re both great!

Thruway Shopping Center

300 South Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103

It’s not quite an outdoor mall, but it’s pretty close! Some of Carly and Chris’s favorite spots include The Loop Pizza, Sephora, Warby Parker, Francesca’s, Trader Joe’s, Lululemon, The Carving Board, Juice Shop Smoothies, Cava, and Camel City Coffee. Across the street, there’s Stradford Village Shopping Mall, which has Midtown Cafe & Desertry, and Nawab Indian cuisine.

Cheesecakes by Alex Twin City

625 N Trade Street Northwest, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

Carly enjoys visiting this place for coffee and a treat. Chris doesn’t like it because parking is tough. Carly thinks it’s still worth walking a block if you can’t park nearby.

Hanes Mall Boulevard

Hanes Mall Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27103

This street offers plenty of places to eat and shop. Nearby, there’s the underwhelming Hanes Mall and the Barnes and Noble, where Chris and Carly’s family often spends quality time.

Cugino Forno Pizzeria Winston Salem

486 North Patterson Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

Get an authentic Italian slice of pizza before heading out to the bars downtown. Dram and Draught is just a short walk away, so be sure to stop by.

Tanglewood Park

4061 Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012

Old Salem Museums & Gardens

900 Old Salem Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

In the Historic District of Winston-Salem, you can stroll the streets for free or buy a ticket to tour the old homes.

Reynolda Village Shops & Restaurants

2201 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106

Enjoy gardens, shopping, great food, and more in this charming area. You'll love exploring everything it has to offer.

Hanging Rock - Lower Cascade Falls

Hall Rd, Danbury, NC 27016

The Lower Cascades are perhaps the prettiest falls in Hanging Rock State Park. Before the main park entrance, take a right on Moore's Spring Rd. Drive 1/4 mile, then turn left on Hall Rd. Drive less than 1/2 mile to the parking area on the right. The trail is about 1/4 mile and easy.
