We're Getting Married!

Updated 8/8/2020 We've adjusted our wedding plan around the Covid-19 restrictions. We will be holding two ceremonies: a traditional Korean Paebaek on August 13 and a small wedding ceremony on August 15. The both will be broadcast over Zoom so all of our friends and family who cannot fly to California to celebrate with us can participate! Please see the email sent on 8/8/2020 for the Zoom link. Lee and Laura traveled to Bend, OR in March to go skiing. Lee had ordered the engagement ring to be shipped to Oregon ahead of their trip. They headed to the mountain for a day of skiing with Lee's parents and sister. Lee brought the ring to the mountain and planned to find somewhere on the slopes to propose. Unfortunately, that day the weather wasn't totally cooperative. The sun was hiding and the summit of the mountain was closed. Then Laura fell and had to take a break (turns out she broke her leg!). By the time she was back on her feet, the day was over! As they drove back to Bend from the mountain, Lee was thinking of where else he could propose. He insisted Laura come for a walk by the Deschutes river where it passes through downtown Bend. They stopped at Bend Whitewater Park and walked to the edge of the river. With the pink and purple colors of the sunset reflected in the river rapids, Lee dropped down onto one knee, and asked Laura if she would spend her life with him. She said yes!
