Flight
Mexico City International Airport, Benito Juárez Airport is the city's primary airport. United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, and Aeromexico are the most reliable airlines to fly in and out of CDMX. Traffic depending, the airport is anywhere from a 30min - 1hr drive to the recommended neighborhoods. We highly recommend taking an Uber from the airport, just open the app and select Terminal 1.
Travel Note

Travel Note
In the spirit of our Atlanta roots, we chose a destination with terrible traffic. Keep this in mind and give yourself extra time. Uber is popular, safe, and easy to use in Mexico City. Compared to taxis in most U.S. cities, the rates in CDMX are extremely affordable. We do not recommend using taxi services in Mexico City, unless the taxi service is called by a hotel or trusted source.
Travel Note
Although many places in Mexico City do take credit and debit cards, we advise you have some Mexican Pesos on hand. It is recommended to do this in the U.S., before arriving to Mexico. The exchange rate tends to hover around 17 Mx Pesos per $1 USD.
Travel Note
Everyone in Mexico City is high! One of the highest major cities includes in the world, Mexico City's altitude sits at 7,349 ft. Although many people who visit it do not have any problems, it's important to be mindful of the altitude, get acclimated and stay hydrated. You can find bottles of electrolytes in every OXXO or 7-11. Locals call them electrolitos, and once you recognize the bottles, you will catch them everywhere. We also heard a Coke and two aspirin also helps with elevation sickness. The average temperature in Mexico City in late August to early September ranges from a high of 74°F to a low of 50°F. Bring an umbrella! Mexico City typically has sporadic showers on a daily basis (usually in the evening).
