Seattle Center, Space Needle, Monorail to DownTown

Go up the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and then take the Monorail from the Seattle center armory for $5 to get downtown (Westlake center) where you can walk to Pike Place or throughout Westlake / Belltown area for stores.
Pike Place Market

Oldest continuously operating farmers market in the country. Walk out the back to see the new Waterfront park that connects to Alaska way, and keep going to the right to walk along the water to Olympic Sculpture park.

Walkable from Pike Place. There's a new waterfront park that connects from the backside of the market down to the aquarium where you can walk along the water to the ferris wheel at pier 57.
Ballard Market Street and Farmers Market

This is the neighborhood that Emily and Parker live in! Market street is great for restaurants, shopping, coffee, and the biggest farmer's market in Seattle every Sunday from 9:00AM to 2:00 PM.
Ballard Locks and Golden Gardens

Busiest locking system in the Nation with a salmon run and lots of seals. Just 2 miles from Golden Gardens, a popular beach in North Seattle right by our apartment.
Discovery Park

Where Parker proposed! Discovery Park is a 560-acre natural area park operated by Seattle Parks and Recreation. It is the largest city park in Seattle at 560 acres. It's on Magnolia Bluff and overlooks Puget Sound.
Alki Beach

A long beach strip in west Seattle that runs roughly from 64th Place SW to Duwamish Head on Elliott Bay. This is the beach featured in "Sleepless in Seattle" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
Downtown Freemont

Visit Gas Works Park, the infamous "Fremont Troll" under the bridge (the mascot of the Seattle Kraken), get dinner, or walk along the trail that follows lake Union.
Run/Walk/Coffee around Green Lake
Seattle, WA
A really cute lake in the northern half of the city with paved running trails. It's a perfect 5K all the way around. Running stores, coffee shops, and good Thai restaurants are all along the perimeter.
Hiking in North Bend

Dozens of hiking trails within 1 hour drive of Seattle. Mt Si is one of the most popular.
Hiking in Tiger Mountain State Forest

Dozens of hiking trails (easy - moderate) only 30-45 min drive from downtown. Poo Poo point is one of the most popular.
Take the Ferry to Bainbridge Island

You can walk onto the Ferry at T 801 Alaskan Way Pier 52 Seattle, WA 98104. Fares are normally around $10 per person for round trip for walk ons. Downtown Bainbridge is walkable from the other side!
