The night before Emily's first day of college, she was picking out her outfit for the next day with her roommate, Makayla. Makayla was joking around, saying "Emily, I don't think people put as much thought into their outfits as they did in high school. This is college!" and Emily responded "You never know! People meet their husbands in college!" The very next morning, Emily met Parker in her very first college class —Spanish 201 at Boise State. Emily was 18, Parker was 20, and it didn’t take long before all their common interests meant they started seeing each other everywhere: in class, at Young Life, through mutual friends, Greek life parties, outdoor clubs—you name it. They were fast friends, always bumping into each other, always somehow in the same place at the same time. After a year of friendship (and a few months of pretending they weren’t obviously into each other), Emily asked Parker to be her date to her sorority formal in the spring of 2020. From then on, all their best memories and moments included each other, and they had the best time getting to live out their college years growing together. Since then, their story has been filled with adventure—countless ski hills, backpacking trips, a move to a new state, and travels to nine different countries together (so far). Through all the changes and new experiences, one thing has stayed the same: they just really love being together!! Now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next adventure—marriage—with all the people who have supported them along the way. Let’s party!
