If you’re up for a little desert adventure, grab a UV (black) light after sunset and head outside—you’ll be surprised at what you find! Under UV light, scorpions glow a bright neon green, making them easy to spot against the ground and rocks. It’s a safe and fascinating way to see a side of the desert you don’t usually notice. Just wear closed-toe shoes, keep a little distance, and enjoy the glowing critters from afar.
If you’re a fan of Matt’s Off Road Recovery on YouTube, you’re in luck! The shop is right here in town, and you’re welcome to stop by during business hours. You can check out the merch store, say hi to the crew, and even take a little tour of the recovery yard. It’s a great spot to explore if you’ve got some extra time while you’re here for the wedding!
Mollies Nipple stands alone amidst the cliffs, mesas, and canyons. As you begin your journey, the trail passes between two large boulders. Some sections of the slope contain loose rock, requiring careful footing. As you ascend, the trail rewards you with 360-degree views of Kitchen Canyon and the surrounding landscape. This is a steep incline hike, so wear good shoes and be ready for a workout.
