Is there any parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception is on the same venue - Wattles Mansion and Gardens and there is a complimentary limited parking on site. If the lot on site is full, you can park on the neighborhood around the area. We recommend parking on North Curson Ave.

Question

Where is Wattles Mansion & Gardens Located and Is There Any Interesting History Behind the Venue?

Answer

Located right on Hollywood Blvd & Curson Ave - just south of Runyon Canyon, Wattles Mansion was designed in 1907 by architects Myron Hunt and Elmer Grey, whose illustrious projects include the Huntington Library, the Rose Bowl, and the now-gone Ambassador Hotel. The Mission Revival-style residence was the winter home of Nebraska banker Gurdon Wattles, who played a major role in the development of Old Hollywood silent movies in the early 1900's. The Wattles family owned the estate until the late 1960s, when they sold it to the city of Los Angeles. The house has a Rose Garden, formal Spanish Garden and a lush front lawn with a view of Los Angeles. Wattles Mansion & Gardens is one of the few remaining landscapes reminiscent of another era and tradition, possessing a genuine integrity of setting, design, workmanship, and association.
