Question

When is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than Friday, January 7, 2022.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the very limited amount of people allowed at the venue, we ask that you do not include a plus one, only the names on the invitations are invited.

Question

Are Children welcome?

Answer

Yes! We have accounted for all children in each family invited.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The Bride and Groom will be staying at the Perry Lane Hotel during their stay in Savannah and do not have room blocks reserved for guests. There are many wonderful hotels all within walking distance to Ships of the Sea. Please see the Travel page for more hotel recommendations.

Question

But what do I wear??

Answer

Please wear a black tie-appropriate outfit. Tuxedos, floor-length dresses, and gowns are examples of black-tie outfits. Formal suits with ties and mid-length dresses are acceptable but we ask that you dress on the more formal side. Keep in mind that the weather in Savannah in February is cold.

Question

Are Military Uniforms Required?

Answer

No, please dress in your Black Tie outfits.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the ceremony?

Answer

We do not have a shuttle to transport you to the ceremony. We ask that you drive, carpool, walk, or Uber to the ceremony. There will be a trolley bus which will transport guests to the Perry Lane Hotel for the after-party. The trolley will also transport guests back to their hotel at 11 PM.

Question

Is parking available at the Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum Parking lot on site.

Question

Is the wedding ceremony being held indoors or outdoors? What about the reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors. The ceremony is being held in a courtyard which is not covered and the reception will be held on-site at the covered pavilion. We will provide heaters and light shawls for wedding guests as it will be cold. That said, hopefully, you all will stay warm with lots of dancing, good food, and warm drinks!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests can begin arriving at 5 PM. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM sharp.

Question

Is the Ceremony Unplugged or can I take my own photos?

Answer

The ceremony will be unplugged as our wonderful wedding photographer will be taking all the pictures. During the reception, you may take your own photos and we ask that you share the best ones with the Bride and Groom.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please see our Registry section on Zola for more information.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The Bride and Groom are getting married during Valentine's Day Weekend, so Savannah may be busy with couples celebrating. This means that restaurants, hotels, flights, and activities may be booked so be prepared and book early! Also, we will have an after-party and farewell brunch! Please check out those details on the "Schedule" page for all the info you need.
