We would recommend staying in Quivira, a gated community with a mix of condos, houses and hotels. It is very safe and mostly Americans & Canadians. The main hotel inside Quivira is Pueblo Bonito Pacifica (where the Welcome Party will be on Thursday night). This would be a great option if you want to do a hotel. We have a block of rooms there - use WOOD27 go get the discounted rate. Molly & Michael will be staying at Pacifica. Pueblo Bonito has a second property, Sunset, inside of Quivira which is another hotel option. The other option is renting a place inside of Quivira (on airbnb or something similar). The main neighborhoods are Copala, Montecristo, Coronado, Alvar & Novaispania. Most listings will tell you which neighborhood they're in. Everything is less than 5 minutes away from each other, including Pacifica. For reference, Molly's family has a place in Copala. Copala has a pool bar/restaurant inside the gates, which makes this a great option (and our recommendation). If you do a house rental, consider getting a golf cart for easy transport. If you have any questions about hotels or rentals, reach out to Molly or Michael.
There will be transportation to/from the main events from Pacifica and Copala (one of the main neighborhoods in Quivira). If you're staying at Pacifica, they have a shuttle that you can take around Quivira and to downtown. Talk to concierge or the front desk when you get there. Uber works well and is safe in Cabo. That said, Quivira is pretty strict about ubers - you can easily get a ride back into Quivira (from downtown or elsewhere), but they typically won't let ubers in to pick you up. If you need to book a ride leaving Quivira, talk to the concierge at your hotel or in your neighborhood. They can call you a taxi. At Copala, the concierge is near the main pool. We also use Gregg Carlson Transportation a lot. Gregg has a place in Copala and runs a car service. You can reach out to him on WhatsApp at 949-374-0624 to book a car. Please note that you need to book rides through Gregg in advance. Don't text him for same day requests. His company also does airport transfers (typically $80-100 each way for a Suburban or something similar). This is how we get to/from the airport when we are in town.
We honestly don't plan much when we go down. We like to take it slow - drink coffee looking at the Pacific, read by the pool, watch sunset on the beach, and enjoy some good meals. That said, we've been to Quivira/Cabo a lot. If you're new to the area and want to explore, here are some good ideas: -Play golf at Quivira (book your tee time ahead - you get 20% off if you stay at Pacifica) -Get a massage at Sand Bar (book online or send them a WhatsApp) or go there for happy hour. This is downtown on Medano Beach, so you can walk around before or after. ~15 minute drive from Quivira -Go deep sea fishing with Mar Vida (you leave from the marina downtown - prepare for early wake up call!). ~15 minute drive from Quivira -Get breakfast or lunch at Bar Esquina (downtown - Medano Beach - no res needed). ~15 minute drive from Quivira -Get lunch or dinner at Mariscadas (10 minute drive from Quivira - you can just walk in) -Have a nice dinner at Casa Martin (10 minute drive from Quivira - make a res on OpenTable to be safe, but you can usually walk in with a smaller group)
If you're staying at Pacifica, you can coordinate your airport transfers through the hotel - they have private and shared options. If you're renting a house, we recommend using Gregg Carlson Transportation. Gregg has a place in Copala and runs a car service. You can reach out to him on WhatsApp at 949-374-0624 to book a car. Please note that you need to book rides through Gregg in advance. We recommend texting him once you've booked your flights. Airport transfers typically cost $80-100 (each way) for a Suburban or something similar. They accept cash (USD). Uber is another option when you arrive to Cabo. However, don't rely on uber when you're leaving Quivira - we highly recommend booking a ride in advance through your hotel, the concierge in your neighborhood or Gregg Carlson.
Please RSVP by January 1st, 2027 so we can let the venues and vendors know our final count. If you want to take advantage of the group rate at Pacifica (the hotel), you need to book by November 25, 2026. Remember to use "WOOD27" to get the discounted rate. You can always cancel later if you need to.
While we love your kiddos, our wedding events will be adults only.
If you're renting a house in Quivira, renting a golf cart can be a good idea. Some of the house rentals come with them - check the listing before renting one on your own. Please note that this is not necessary, only if you want to. Copala, one of the neighborhoods in Quivira, is the most walkable. If you're staying here, you can walk to various pools, including the main pool bar that has food service. You don't need a golf cart if you stay in Copala, but it can still be fun to have one to cruise around on :) You don't need a golf cart if you're staying at Pacifica - they have a shuttle for their guests.
Not really. If you look at the "Schedule" page of this website, we included some ideas for the dress code for all three events (based on what we will be wearing). That said, everything will be casual. You can wear whatever you'll be most comfortable in. One thing to note: it usually gets warm during the day, but it can be a little chilly at night in February. You might want to bring a jacket or wrap if you tend to get cold easily.
If you’re looking for a quick bite or drink inside Quivira, you’ve got a few options depending on where you are: 1) The Market is a good option for something easy and casual. It's an open-floor food hall with a lot of different options. There’s a coffee shop, a juice bar, a few restaurants, and even a sports bar. 2) Quivira Steakhouse (at the golf club) is a great option for a more elevated lunch or dinner. 3) If you’re staying at Pacifica, there are several restaurants on property to choose from. 4) If you’re staying in Copala, the main pool has a bar with food and drink service daily until 5 p.m. 5) There’s also a food truck called La Choya at the pool at Sunset Beach (one of the hotels). It can be a little tricky to find, so we recommend asking a staff member to point you in the right direction.
