FAQs

Question

When are the RSVPs due?

Answer

We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by October 6th via our RSVP section.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Oh la la. In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail attire! However, know that it will be outside on grass, please wear comfortable shoes.

Question

Any other special attire notes we should know?

Answer

Temperatures tend to dip a bit at night, and since the event will be outside you might want to bring a jacket or wrap.

Question

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes! We will have car parkers to show you where to park. However, we are asking that people try to carpool as much as possible.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

We have arranged for Uber ride passes for our event! When booking your Uber ride please use the promo code vouchers.uber.com/claim?code=eb9ins8 to receive the discount.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please e-mail us at whaley.lauren [at] gmail.com to let us know! We want you to be safe and comfortable!

Question

How late does the party go?

Answer

Officially we are saying 10pm, however since it will be on our property, we plan to stay up and will have a campfire for those who want to join us.

Question

Do you have any hotel room blocks?

Answer

No, we do not have any rooms blocked at hotels. The nearest accommodations are just down the road at Hampton Inn Austin/Oakhill, 6401 HWY 290 W We are also recommending Airbnb as an option; we would be happy to let you know who is coming so that you can organize a shared place with someone you know!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

Question

We are having an unplugged ceremony

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony at our wedding. While we fully encourage everyone to bring their phones, cameras, and super8 recorders to document the day (plus your awesome outfit and fabulous dance moves), we politely request that all devices be turned off during the ceremony. Once we receive the professional images from our photographer after the wedding, we will be happy to send them to you!
