Undoubtedly offering one of Charlottesville's best mountain top views (but instead of having to hike for it, it's just a brief drive!) Once to the top you'll be thrilled to find ice cold Bold Rock being served on a rooftop deck, a variety of fresh apples & apple butter- and last but not least, Carter Mountain's signature apple cider donuts
Mount Ida is one of our favorite rural winery settings. Relaxed atmosphere, great selection of craft wines, wood-burning fireplaces, a rooftop deck, frisbee and football in the lawn- all paired with a beautiful view of Virginia's mountains
Whiskey Jar, Violet Crown Theatre, The Fitzroy, Commonwealth Sky Bar, The Paramount Theatre, Jack Brown's Beer & Burger bar, and various shops & boutiques- the Downtown mall is one of our absolute staples as Charlottesville residents
Humpback Rock, a short drive from Charlottesville, offers visitors a great hike & a rewarding view. Parking and bathrooms are located just at the base of the mountain- and for a more interesting experience we suggest getting to the top just before sunset
The best way to "do wine right" while in wine country- Pippin Hill is one of Charlottesville's most popular wineries to date. A delicious menu and an exquisite selection of craft wine are only a few of the selling points for this charming winery.
Charlottesville's finest historical landmark, Thomas Jefferson's Homestead. We are by no means 'history buffs' so it's perfect that this location really speaks for itself. If any of our guests are historically inclined, this site is certainly a no-brainer
