Lauren and Ryan met in 2008, at a friends gathering in grade school. If you knew Lauren then, you remember how shy and quiet she was. Ryan has always been outgoing, and funny, but persistent, and when he saw her for the first time, he asked his friend "who's that girl?", then proceeded to say "i'm going to marry that girl one day" (Yup, true story). It wasn't long after they met that they were going to the movies together on their first date. They spent many summers at the County Fair and went to concerts together as often as teenagers could get away with. They grew and learned so much about life together at a young age. In 2015, they were on their first vacation together in Cabo San Lucas. It was an unforgettable trip although they were boarded up in their room for some time during the tail end because of Hurricane Blanca. During that time, they talked about marriage and decided if they had a wedding, it would be in Mexico. The memories they share are endless. Lauren and Ryan reconnected in a different light, as adults, in 2022. Lester, Ryan's Dad, who was still very close to Lauren's family, knew that the two of them always loved one another and decided to do something about it. Lester called Lauren one day when she was on a walk. She missed the call, being in shock, but called him right back. Little did she know, that call was a pivotal moment. At that same time, Lester had planted a bug in Ryan's ear too. Ryan reached out to Lauren a few weeks later. They rekindled in much conversation and the adventures began. Lester is owed a grand thank you for giving the two of them the nudge they needed and believing in their love. Lauren and Ryan's dream remains to get married on the coast of Mexico with their closest friends and family.
