We're getting married!

On September 21, 2018, Alex's ship port-shifted from Hawaii to San Diego. It was a day that would soon become unforgettable. After finishing work and settling into the rhythms of the new port, Alex planned to meet a friend in Pacific Beach that evening. Fortunately, life had other plans; his friend wasn’t able to make it. Already in the area, he decided to take the opportunity to explore Pacific Beach on his own. Little did he know this spontaneous choice would change his life forever. As he wandered the streets of Pacific Beach, drawn in by the sound of music and celebration, he eventually found himself at a bar formerly known as Backyard. Among the crowd, his eyes met Stephanie’s, and from that moment, the evening took on a surreal and magical quality, almost like de je vu or a dream. They struck up a conversation, discovering a spark that made time meaningless. It wasn’t long before the liveliness of the bar faded into the background as they simply enjoyed each other’s company. When the night came to a close, he walked Stephanie home along the Mission Bay boardwalk. The scene felt like something out of a storybook. A cool mist hung in the air, wrapping the shoreline in a serene haze. The gentle rhythm of the waves accompanied their conversation, and at one point, they paused to dip their feet into the water. He remember the sensation vividly: the coolness of the ocean meeting the warmth of the sand beneath their toes. But more than that, he remembered how radiant she looked under the soft glow of the moonlight. He couldn’t help but think to myself how much he wanted to explore life with her, to see where this chance encounter could lead. Now, nearly seven years later, that moment is the beginning of a journey that has brought them to this incredible day. They are preparing to stand together, ready to share their love and commitment with all of you, their family and friends. Thank you for being here to celebrate this huge step in their lives.
