If you have a spare day or a week, visit Leavenworth. This bavarian villiage is nestled in the mountains. Go to the Christmas store and get your ornaments for years to come.

High Rock Lookout

Ashford, WA 98304

One of the most gorgeous hikes in the USA. Travel 2 miles up until you can feel as if you could touch the mountain. At the top of the cliff, there is a small ranger's house. When I was a little girl, my grandfather took me up there. There was still a ranger living there. We brought him peaches and he told us so many tales. I remember grandpa and my dad taking turns carrying the pack and my brother. It was an amazing adventure.

Roche Harbor

Roche Harbor, WA 98250

Drive up the coast, jump on a ferry, take the shuttle to Roche Harbor and live like royalty. Roche Harbor is a far away place only a few get to experience. Any of the San Juan Islands are lovely. If this is something you want to do, talk to us about more ideas of what to do on the islands.
